Me in Paree

I have arrived here in Paris at 10:00 am Tuesday morning (Feb. 5th)
Walking through a check-point at Newark Liberty airport, the attendant checked my passport and boarding pass, handed it back to me and said; "Have a good vacation. And, you MUST be going on vacation, because you are just too happy!" A great flight. Beautiful, Air India. An airplane the size of a shopping mall. Two side ilses and three rows of seats, three seats in each row (nine across.) Gigantic. "Indian colored" interior of red and gold and bone white. The flight attendants wore saris and bindis. Upon entering the plane I was greeted with an Indian woman with hands folded in "prayer position" and an Indian man saying "Namaste" ('my higher self, bows to your higher self') as I passed. A delicious vegetarian meal of Indian food. I tried to sleep, in vain: only about an hour. Seven hour flight which took-off, and arrived right on schedule.
Into the beautiful Charles De Galle airport (even the airport here is beautiful!) I retrieved my luggage and found my way to the Metro which I took to the center of Paris, and then transfered to a line that took me about three blocks from the little studio apartment where I am staying, 11 Lapecede Street, right off Monge Street, and just around the corner of Jardin De Plantes (Garden of Plants!).

I'm pretty exhausted from no sleep, but will try to stay awake until a proper "bed time" to fend-off jet lag. I'll head out to a cafe' soon and "tank up" on a double espresso or two. Then buzz around till I drop.

Thinking of you all!!!

Love Love Love,

JoJo
