NOTRE DAME, "Ash Wednesday" 2008

( CLICK on any of these Photos to ENLARGE! )

Cathedral of Notre Dame: Magnificent. Awe-Inspiring. No wonder Victor Hugo chose it as the setting for his "Hunchback" (is that term considered P.C.?)
Alas; no sign of Quasimodo nor Esmeralda the gypsy girl. But I did attend mass, pray, sing, and receive Holy Eucharist (the first time in many years) in honor of my Mother. I lit candles for friends and loved ones. I received ashes to the forehead, as you can see by the stunning photo here of moi! I also got...*ahem*... "cruised" by a young European gentleman while walking past the side altars along one of the side isles (... the "Catholic Church?!?!?")
